Allex Michael: Ebbey was found starving in a garbage dump. When first adopted, I had to feed Ebbey seven times a day just to keep her from vomiting bile. For a dog who is still used to eating three meals per day, going twelve hours without food and nine hours without water is a hardship.
So when the vet techs (Andrea and Lynn)were looking for a vein to take blood from Ebbey's throat, the dog began wretching. The first upchuck brought up a good quantity of bright yellow bile. Then the second upchuck had some red in it. The third had more red in it.
After all the vomiting I've seen her do, this was the first time she has puked up blood. Dr. Wennekamp said it was fresh (bright red) esophageal (canal that connects the throat to the stomach) blood which he isn't worried about. Dark red blood would be a cause for concern.
Vomiting up bile, due to hunger is quite common in dogs. But Ebbey's vomiting may have been something else altogether........

Ebbey plays a search dog in the new film SEARCH DOG'S RAVEN: the Eerie Story of a Wilderness Search Dog Team.
< When I ask Ebbey to stay, and pose for the camera, she generally waits a second or two and then walks towards the camera. Her fur is wet after swimming in the river.
Playing the search dog, Ebbey has a leading role in the eerie action thriller Search Dog's Raven. Her character is paramount, because the key to unlocking the film's unique twist turns out to be the 'Search Dog's...Raven.
