Ebbey's Tooth Extraction Surgery
A Frightening Discovery Allex Michael: I was brushing Ebbey's teeth in the daylight for a change and my heart suddenly stopped. One of her large back teeth was cracked vertically. Bad dental hygiene and damaged teeth are both very detrimental to a dog's health.
I scaled her teeth three weeks ago, so the crack occurred sometime in the last twenty one days. Likely in the last week or ten days, since I brush her teeth every second or third day. This tooth had always had a weird dark gray blotch on the lower half (pre surgery photo coming up). The first vets said the tooth looked fine. The now cracked tooth is also on the side that Ebbey has always seemed to favor when chewing.
Stopped vitamin E, as Ebbey's tooth will likely need to be surgically removed. I remember something about vitamin E thinning the blood and should be restricted.
